From the President’s Desk: A Special Night

We are six days away from the Chicagoland Chamber’s Daniel Burnham Award Dinner at the Ritz-Carlton, Chicago. This event represents everything exceptional about our business community. Your work every day creates and strengthens economic opportunity, and makes the Chicago region a great place to live.

In 26 years of the Burnham Award, we have honored women and men who embody Daniel Burnham’s “make no small plans” vision. Chicago would not be the world-class economic region it is without them.

This year, we add Ilene S. Gordon, Chairman, President and CEO of Ingredion Incorporated, to the list of business and civic icons. We could not be more proud.

The Burnham Dinner is also an evening of making high-level connections. In addition, thanks to the generosity of our members we have a great selection of silent and live auction items. Among the auction items are:

  •  Suite for 12 at a Blackhawks or Bulls game
  • Autographed Cubs and Blackhawks jerseys
  • White Sox tickets + “Change the Base” in the 4th inning
  • John Mulaney tickets
  • Nick Offerman tickets
  • United Airlines Premier 1k membership
  • Roundtrip tickets on Aeromexico

I look forward to seeing many of you next Wednesday evening, and to working with all of you, always, to make Chicagoland an even greater place to live and do business.

Sincerely,

Michael L. Reever, Esq.

Acting President & CEO
