The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce held its quarterly Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, April 24, at the Chicago Hyatt Regency. There, the Chamber’s Nominating Committee slated several additions to the Board of Directors and elected a new Board Chair. Guest speakers for the meeting included Democratic Nominee for Cook County State’s Attorney Justice Eileen O’Neill Burke, NASCAR Chicago Street Race President Julie Giese, and Greater Chicago Food Depository Executive Director and CEO Kate Maehr.

United’s Daniel Lynch Named New Chair of the Board of Directors

The Chicagoland Chamber’s Nominating Committee named United Airlines Vice President of State and Local Government Affairs Daniel J. Lynch as the new Chair of the Board of Directors. Lynch will replace outgoing Chair Kevin Cassidy, Chief Growth Officer at Health Care Service Corporation. Cassidy will officially pass the gavel to Lynch at the Chicagoland Chamber’s 120th Annual Meeting of Membership on June 4 at Hilton Chicago.

Dan Lynch is vice president of state and local government affairs at United Airlines, based at the company’s world headquarters in Chicago. In this role, Dan is responsible for creating constructive and effective relationships with all levels of elected and appointed government and opinion leaders throughout the United States.
