The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the next event in its Chicago at a Crossroads series, a luncheon and conversation on public safety accountability and gun violence on Monday, October 17. The Chamber will feature a dynamic panel discussion on the state of crime in Chicago and recommendations on how the business community can use data to help address it, including former Secretary of Education and Managing Partner of Chicago CRED Arne Duncan, VP of Criminal Justice at Arnold Ventures Walter Katz, Managing Director and Senior Partner of Boston Consulting Group Brad Martens, and moderated by Institute for Nonviolence Chicago Chair Wendy DuBoe.

Chicago Bears Host Women at the Midway

Women of the Midway kicked off at Halas Hall where PNC Bank teamed up with the Chicago Bears to host an important conversation about advancing diversity in the workplace. Joined by Bears radio personality Jeff Joniak, PNC Bank’s Beth Karlson, Chicago Bears CFO Karen Murphy, and DE&I SVP Tanesha Wade, they shared their career journeys and how they are paying it forward to help women advance economically. Illinois Clean Energy Champion Awards Reception

The Illinois Clean Energy Champion Awards seek to celebrate job creation by private companies, nonprofit organizations, and government units from across Illinois that have seized the chance to make our state a leader in the clean energy future. These awards recognize what it takes to create or retain good-paying jobs, with a special eye toward equity in communities historically left behind.
