Crain’s Chicago Business today released a list of the 20 most powerful women in Chicago Business in 2014, many which are directly connected to the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber President & CEO Theresa E. Mintle came in at number eight, where the article mentions her experience in government and efforts to emphasize small business services at the Chamber.

“A lot of focus groups; town halls; broad-based, all-member surveys—I've brought that to the chamber,” said Mintle.

The following Chamber members were also featured on the list: Mellody Hobson, President, Ariel Investments LLC (2); Anne Pramaggiore, CEO, ComEd (5); Ilene Gordon, Chairman and CEO, Ingredion Inc. (7); Kim Taylor, President, CME Clearing, a unit of CME Group Inc. (9); Jana Schreuder, CEO, Northern Trust Corp. (10); Sandra Bruce, CEO, Presence Health (11); Margo Georgiadis, President, Americas, Google Inc. (12); Linda Myers, Partner, Kirkland And Ellis LLP (14); Melissa Bean, Midwest Chair, JPMorgan Chase and Co. (19); and Sona Chawla, President, Digital Operations, Walgreen Co. (20).
