On Wednesday, February 25, DLA Piper hosted Jamie Rhee, Chief Procurement Officer, City of Chicago; Shannon Andrews, Chief Procurement Officer, Cook County; and Simone McNeal, Director, Central Management System, State of Illinois to discuss strategic sourcing opportunities for small and medium size businesses, with a special emphasis on sourcing minority and woman owned businesses.
The idea is for attendees to use what they learned at this event to help their companies effectively do business with these agencies.
The Chamber launched the Procurement Series in September of 2012 as an initiative that brings together owners and executives from small, emerging and diverse Chicago-area businesses to learn how the procurement process works within Chicago’s leading corporations.
