November 14: Save the Date for the 31st Annual Daniel H. Burnham Award Dinner

The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Daniel H. Burnham Award Dinner on November 14 at The Hilton Chicago, honoring United Airlines President Brett J. Hart with the Award for Distinguished Leadership for his outstanding contributions to the Chicagoland business community. The event will convene prominent business leaders actively embracing civic service and advancing Chicago’s business climate. Registration is now available.

House Bill 4126: Improvements to Tax Credit Scholarships

PRESENTED BY EMPOWER ILLINOIS

In 2022, Empower Illinois and Illinois’ tax credit scholarship community pursued legislation to improve Illinois’ Tax Credit Scholarship Program. This broad coalition of supporters and advocates helped advance House Bill (HB) 4126—the first-ever stand-alone bill on the program in Illinois history. With strong bipartisan support, HB4126 unanimously passed the Illinois House and Senate in April 2022, a near impossible feat. It was signed into law in June 2022, introducing two key changes to the Invest in Kids Act (year-over-year scholarship priority and partial scholarships) to successfully provide greater education stability and increase scholarship access.

GOLF CLASSIC
Win Round Trip Tickets | Helicopter Golf Ball Drop

This year’s Chicagoland Chamber Golf Classic will feature a new spectacle to add to what is widely-known as “the best workday of the year.” The Helicopter Golf Ball Drop is a unique raffle where purchased golf balls will be numbered and dropped from a helicopter. The ball that lands closest to the designated target will win round trip tickets, courtesy of our partners at United Airlines. Attendance to the Chamber’s Golf Classic is not required for entry.
