Chamber member GEM Advertising has made its way to the Midwest, recently launching in Chicago. Led by Managing Director Sharon R. Butler, the GEM Chicago office is the latest addition to the GEM roster, joining offices in Vancouver, British Columbia; Boston, Massachusetts; and its flagship office in New Haven, Connecticut.
GEM’s principles encourage their offices to contribute to the local fabric of their respective regions by engaging with local non-profits, charities, and community organizations while working with the area’s mid-market brands on strategic growth initiatives.
GEM incorporates its “Global-Local” strategy when opening offices, which entails hiring talented employees who reside and work in the cities where GEM is located. GEM believes that this approach lends itself to hiring the most passionate, diverse and qualified talent while allowing the agency to fully integrate itself into the communities it serves.
As a proud Midwesterner and Managing Director of GEM Chicago, Sharon Butler is responsible for new business development, talent recruitment, and day-to-day operations. Prior to joining the GEM family, Sharon directed annual events and the young professionals program at the Greater New Haven Chamber after leading international affairs initiatives at Yale University.
