Understanding Board Roles and Responsibilities
Presented by the Illinois Small Business Development Center at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce
As part of BACP’s effort to providing training and professional development to Neighborhood Business Development Center grantees, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce will be providing a platform for connection and collaboration, led by Adrienne McFarland, Director of Small Business.
To encourage engagement and a unified approach to supporting small businesses in different neighborhoods throughout Chicagoland, the Chamber will be hosting monthly virtual trainings for all NBDC grantees to learn and discuss best practices when developing and leading an effective board for their organization. This is a safe space for open discussion between peers to support each other and our organizations. Please contact Adrienne McFarland at [email protected] for questions.
During this training we will discuss how an organization defines the roles and responsibilities of a board member.
This event is hosted by the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and our Illinois SBDC. Learn more about our small business services here.
