On Wednesday, March 20, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce hosted Trailblazers in Motion: Women Shaping the Future of Sports in Chicago, a dynamic exploration of the impact women have on Chicago’s sports industry. A prestigious panel including Chicago Blackhawks President of Business Operations Jaime Faulkner, NASCAR Chicago Street Course President Julie Giese, Chicago Red Stars Owner Laura Ricketts, Chicago Bulls VP of Community Engagement and Executive Director of Chicago Bulls Charities Adrienne Scherenzel, and Chicago Sky Co-Owner and Operating Chair Nadia Rawlinson highlighted the pivotal role of women in the workforce, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and addressing challenges to pave the way for a workplace that is more equitable and diverse, unlocking a full spectrum of skills and perspectives that benefit both individuals and organizations.
