According to a survey this past spring, members of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce feel good about the direction of the region’s economy. In a recent conversation with Comcast Newsmakers, Chamber President and CEO Theresa E. Mintle was upbeat about the future.

“By and large, people are very, very optimistic,” said Mintle. “Well over 70 percent of respondents were on the spectrum of optimism about what the future holds.”

Mintle also expanded on the Chamber’s new small business programs, a small business survey being rolled out right now, and some of the Chamber’s important public policy initiatives.
