Dominican University’s Brennan School of Business will host its annual Forum on Corporate Governance on Tuesday, April 9 with a breakfast panel discussion about diversity in the boardroom. The networking breakfast will be held at 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at the University Club of Chicago.
Diverse boards expand a company’s ability to adapt to the changing multicultural landscape, but corporate America has long struggled to populate major boards with women and minorities. Despite increased attention that diversity of gender, ethnicity, and age may correlate to great innovation, many large companies have been slow to adopt change.
A panel of leading corporate and governance professionals will discuss the topic and definition of diversity, why it matters, what it means for companies and stakeholders, and future trends. Panelists include local business leaders Michelle Collins and Adela Cepeda.
