Tony Award-winning musical “The King and I” will make its latest debut at The Lyric Opera of Chicago on April 30.

Based on the 1944 novel Anna and the King of Siam, it tells the story of Anna Leonowens, a British governess who was hired by King Mongkut of Siam to tutor his very large family. Attendees can expect familiar score such as “Shall We Dance,” “Something Wonderful”, “Getting to Know You” and “I Whistle a Happy Tune.”
