Chamber member American Cancer Society will be kicking off their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer program this August! This year’s theme is Movement of Pink. The goal of American Cancer Society's program is to create a fun, inspiring day to rally supporters and advocates to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
There are two kickoff events to choose from:
Downtown Kickoff
Saturday, August 5th, 1PM – 3PM

Southside Kickoff
Saturday, August 26th, 1PM – 3PM

Each kickoff day will include:
• Powerful stories from cancer patients and survivors
• Information about innovative advancements in cancer research
• Recognition ceremony for those newly diagnosed, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers
• Resources for individuals and teams participating in the 5K Walk
• Special guest hosts, Judy Hsu and Roz Varon from ABC 7
• Dance presentation from The Dream Team and Chi Town Line Dancers
• Photo booth by Cocktails 4 Entertainment
• Music by DJ Malik Shabazz
• Refreshments
• Scavenger hunt with great raffle prizes
