UNITY in Action: Honoring Black History and Small Business Success
Join the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce for an inspiring and engaging event as part of the Emerging Leaders UNITY (Understanding, Networking, and Inclusion for Teamwork and Your Growth) Program. On February 21, 2025, we are proud to honor Black History Month with a dynamic program exploring the rich heritage, culture, and small business contributions of Chicago’s North Lawndale community. This event is part of a three-part series celebrating Chicago’s diverse communities through immersive experiences, storytelling, and panel discussions.
The day begins with a guided Dilla Bus Tour led by celebrated Chicago historian Dilla, who will share captivating stories about North Lawndale’s cultural significance and history. Following the tour, attendees will convene at the North Lawndale Employment Network (NLEN) for a thought-provoking panel discussion over lunch, featuring insights from small business leaders and community changemakers. Whether you are looking to connect with peers, deepen your understanding of Chicago’s diverse communities, or discover new ways to support local businesses, this event promises to be a meaningful and enriching experience.
