Getting Certified with Cook County / Procurement 101
The mission of the Office of The Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) is to provide an open and transparent procurement process that promotes maximum competition, promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, implements efficient procurement practices, and leverages the County’s overall resources to achieve best value and quality.
Join the Center for Business Enterprise Development under the Office of Chief Procurement Officer for a 90-minute informational session explaining the certification application and the review process. We understand that applying for certification is in-depth and involves several documents. This informational workshop is geared to go over the high level details, get your questions answered and meet a member of
the team.
We’ll also give a Procurement 101 overview of the Procurement Process, types of procurements, agencies we procure good and services for, navigating the website to locate bid tabs, awarded contracts, buying plans, etc. and submitting bids via Bonfire.
