Using Your Board of Directors to Define Your Organization’s Planning and Purpose
Presented by the Illinois Small Business Development Center at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce
Strategic planning is the effort where boards formulate a plan to guide the nonprofit’s activities toward fulfilling its mission. In this session, learn how a strategy plan can guide an organization toward why they need to set up certain activities, who will take the lead on various activities, and how to implement and monitor those activities. Hear about your board’s role in developing a strategic plan from goal setting, tactics to reach those goals, and putting the plan into practice.
