Creative Solutions to Address Workforce Shortages in Healthcare

Presented by the Chicagoland Chamber Healthcare Council

Historic staffing shortages in healthcare have reached an alarming level due to the emergence and longevity of the ongoing pandemic, which has placed an unbearable strain on healthcare professionals as they opt to retire or leave their careers in search of something new. This “Great Resignation” has affected several disciplines more drastically than others including mental health and primary care, while current projections show imminent shortages in nursing, long-term care, and home health fields. As the pandemic lingers, continued workforce shortages have made it difficult for providers to offer a consistent level of care.

The Chicagoland Chamber’s featured panel of healthcare executives will discuss how workforce shortages are affecting the industry and the creative solutions that are being utilized to meet the demand for sustained quality of care.
