Protecting Your Business in an Uncertain Economy

This webinar is an initiative of the Chicagoland Chamber’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Task Force.

The unrest in recent months has exposed businesses to a whole new set of challenges, particularly for minority-owned businesses who have been disproportionately affected. From recouping losses as a result of property damage to ensuring that your business has the insurance and other necessary safeguards in place to ensure business continuity, this session will offer practical tips for MBE’s looking to stabilize their operations amid a very uncertain business environment. Presenters include:

Charles Smith

Charles Smith is Founder and CEO of CS Insurance Strategies, an emerging minority-owned commercial insurance brokerage headquartered in downtown Chicago.  He is also the Founder of My Health Method, one of the few certified, minority-owned corporate wellness companies in Chicago.  Charles has over 20 years of insurance as well as health care experience and has excelled in various roles for companies such as Dearborn National, MetLife and CNA Insurance.

Charles was recognized in 2015 for the highly sought after, Crain’s Chicago Business 40 under 40 award. Charles has served as an Illinois Delegate at the 2012 Democratic National Convention for President Obama, completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program and received an award through Ariel Investments/WVON for being one of Chicago’s 40 Game Changers under 40.  Charles is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
