The 2025 Chicagoland Chamber Golf Classic, presented by American Airlines, brought together business and civic leaders for what is known as the “Best Workday of the Year.” Held at The Glen Club on Tuesday, August 26, the event combined friendly competition with impactful networking and support for Chicago’s vibrant business community.
Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jack Lavin opened the day by welcoming guests, highlighting the role of presenting sponsor American Airlines, and recognizing the many partners and sponsors who helped make the event possible, before sending 100+ eager golfers out onto the course.
Throughout the day, golfers participated in a variety of contests that added excitement to the course. Players competed in specialty challenges like the hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin, and longest drive competitions, with prizes awarded to top performers. A thrilling highlight was the much-anticipated Helicopter Golf Ball Drop, sponsored by Grubhub, which gave participants the chance to win 200,000 American Airlines miles and 30,000 World of Hyatt points.
In addition to the on-course competition, hole sponsors elevated the experience with unique activations positioned throughout the course. Each sponsor created engaging setups featuring refreshments, giveaways, and opportunities to connect with fellow attendees.

A standout experience this year was provided by Home Infusion Options, the sponsor for the Halfway House, which offered post-round wellness infusions through its popular “Infusion Bar.” These treatments provided hydration, electrolytes, and essential nutrients to help participants recover and feel their best after a day on the course.
As the event concluded, guests gathered for a reception that featured remarks from Ben Humphrey, American Airlines Vice President for O’Hare International Airport. Both Humphrey and Lavin spoke about the recent opening of a new terminal wing at O’Hare and the significant economic impact it represents. With increased capacity and expanded global connectivity, the investment was positioned as a major milestone not only for American Airlines but for Chicago’s broader business community.
In his closing remarks, Lavin encouraged attendees to save the date for the Chamber’s 34th Annual Daniel H. Burnham Award Dinner, scheduled for November 17 at Hilton Chicago. As the reception wrapped up, guests enjoyed more networking and celebrated another successful Chamber signature event.
The Chicagoland Chamber extends its sincere thanks to all sponsors and attendees who made the 2025 Golf Classic a success. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
