Illinois State Representative John Bradley joined the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce at its quarterly Board of Directors meeting on October 28 to present a House resolution to the family of former Chamber President & CEO Jerry Roper.

Jerry’s wife Carol accepted the award following heartfelt remarks from Bradley, who read the full resolution to the meeting.

“Jerry Roper was the heartbeat of Chicago and through his selfless energy, commitment to innovation and new ideas, tireless work as an advocate, and courage in the face of huge obstacles, he was the person that all strive to be,” Bradley said.

Roper, who passed away in June, served as the President & CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber from 1993 to 2013.
