Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Theresa E. Mintle, will join a panel discussion, Building Chicago’s Inclusive Economy, on Wednesday June 28th.

The event is hosted by the MacArthur Foundation, from 4:30-6:45pm at the National Museum of Mexican Art. Panelists will discuss how we can all grow Chicago’s economy to be more inclusive and provide fairer, more equitable access to economic opportunity.

The Chicagoland Chamber is active in multiple ways to find and implement solutions that extend economic opportunity to all people in the Chicago region, with a particular focus on underserved communities.

Working with PwC and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, on June 13th, we hosted a day-long forum, Business-led Solutions to Revitalize Chicago Communities. Video of a panel led by Theresa E. Mintle, titled Investment Strategies for Economic Development, can be viewed here.

The Chicagoland Chamber’s Small Business Development Center provides pro-bono business consulting services. Our SBDC has office hours in sixteen neighborhoods, including those where economic opportunity is most needed and entrepreneurs are underserved. The SBDC is on pace to take on its 500th client this summer. Anyone can apply for this service, regardless of whether she or he is a member of the Chicagoland Chamber.

The Chamber is pleased to extend its work toward providing opportunity to all Chicagoans by taking part in the MacArthur Foundation’s panel discussion. More information about the event can be found here.
