On Tuesday, March 25 the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Environment & Sustainability Forum hosted Debra Jacobson, Regional Operations Manager, and John Mulrow, Business/Industrial Sustainability Specialist, of the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center, who provided an overview of the ISTC Technical Assistance Program and on-site services and introduced the upcoming Governor’s Sustainability Awards.

ISTC’s mission is “to encourage and assist citizens, businesses and government to prevent pollution, to conserve natural resources, and to reduce waste to protect human health and the environment in Illinois and beyond.”

Headquartered in Champaign, the ISTC has satellite offices in Chicagoland as well as central and southern Illinois.

The Environment & Sustainability Forum is proud to announce a new Chair: Anil Ahuja of CCJM. Anil has over 30 years of experience in Building Systems Design, Design Management, Construction Management, Commissioning and Operations and Maintenance. He is a registered professional engineer in several states, with project experience including commercial, institutional, educational, residential, industrial and aviation. A Registered Communications Distribution Designer, he also has considerable expertise in IT and communications design. Anil is Managing Principal of the Chicago office and President of CCJM.

Since 1987, the ISTC has presented the Illinois Governor's Sustainability Award to organizations in Illinois that demonstrate a commitment to our economy, society and environment through outstanding and innovative sustainability practices.
