The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Lori Lightfoot as Chicago’s next mayor. The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce has the largest number of members of any business organization serving the City of Chicago.

“The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce enthusiastically endorses Lori Lightfoot to serve as the next mayor of the City of Chicago. Chicago needs a mayor who will work with businesses to provide a stable environment to help grow the economy, attract new companies and create job opportunities for its citizens in every corner of the city. We need a mayor who will support and strengthen Chicago’s status as a global transportation hub and support innovative transit solutions so all Chicagoans have access to economic opportunity. Lori Lightfoot demonstrates that commitment. We fully believe that Chicago is a world-class place to live and work, and we look forward to partnering with the next mayor in continuing to build Chicago’s business community and grow our workforce,” said Jack Lavin, president & CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.

“We believe that Lori Lightfoot brings the passion and skillset for solving many of the city’s challenges,” said Bruce Lubin, Chairman of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  “Her vision for the city’s economic growth is shared by members of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. We believe she will continue to grow the economy as well as promote and welcome top businesses and talent to the city.”

“I’m so proud to have the endorsement of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce in my campaign to bring real change to City Hall. I look forward to partnering with the Chamber as mayor to give entrepreneurs and small businesses the tools they need to thrive and to make sure we invest in neighborhoods that have been left behind for far too long. With the support of the Chamber, and the support of working families all across Chicago, we can finally build a Chicago where everyone in every neighborhood has opportunity and security,” said Lightfoot.
