The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce held its quarterly Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 11, sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and hosted by Blue Plate Chicago. There, the Chamber’s Nominating Committee slated several additions to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

As part of the program, Illinois Deputy Governor for Budget and Economy Andy Manar sat down with Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jack Lavin to discuss the State’s FY27 budget, economic development initiatives, and other key issues. 

The meeting concluded with a presentation by Tony Karman, Executive Director of the Chicago Jazz Alliance | UNESCO, and Heather Ireland Robinson, Executive Director of the Jazz Institute of Chicago, highlighting Chicago’s role as host of International Jazz Day on April 30, including a full month of events and activations across the city leading up to the celebration.
