What began as a long-standing sister city relationship took a significant step forward this week as leaders from Chicago and Galway gathered to strengthen ties across the Atlantic. Representing the Chicagoland Chamber, SVP Jan Kostner joined Galway Chamber President Karen Ronan to sign a Memorandum of Understanding that lays the foundation for deeper collaboration between the two business communities.
The agreement comes as part of a Galway delegation visit to Chicago led by Mayor Helen Ogbu and featuring representatives from education, economic development, tourism, and innovation organizations across the region. Together, the two chambers committed to exploring new opportunities in medical technology, life sciences, tourism, and education while helping businesses on both sides of the ocean connect, grow, and innovate.
