Sara Barnett, the Senior Vice President of Operations and Administration for the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).

Sara has been a pivotal figure at the Chamber since 2018, and she currently oversees senior management on human resources, financial planning, budgeting, and policy matters. Sara’s previous work includes serving as President and CEO of Visit Oak Park, where she promoted 18 communities in western Cook County to business and leisure travelers, and as Chief of Staff and Chief Transition Officer for the Illinois Lottery.  

“I am honored to join the ACCE board, and I look forward to learning from the diverse board membership and innovative programming they offer,” Sara said. “This experience will be invaluable as I bring back new insights and strategies to the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, helping us better serve and support the vibrant Chicago business community.”
