According to a recent study by The Boston Consulting Group, small and medium sized businesses that leverage the latest technology outperform others in innovation and job growth, and increase revenues 15 percentage points faster while adding, on average, twice the number of jobs. The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce knows technology research and education are essential to the growth and success of its members, the majority of which are small businesses.

This study helped drive the launch of the Chamber’s Tech Tuesdays series, which officially kicked off April 22 with a lunch ‘n learn event on the power of email and social media marketing. The series is designed to equip businesses with the latest tech tools and know-how to grow their bottom lines and skill sets.

Tom Casale, founder of Simplified Solutions, presented on email marketing as a hands-on, low-cost marketing tool that can help small business stay connected and generate increased referrals and customer loyalty. Casale stressed the importance of incorporating social media as well as mobile into your email marketing strategy for the best results. Attendees networked before and after the event and interacted throughout the seminar.

The Tech Tuesday series is part of a broaderinitiative through which the Chamber has launched new tech education programs and an exclusive eLearning Center created specifically for small to medium sized businesses.
