Emerging Leaders pose with Chamber President & CEO Theresa E. Mintle at Wednesday's Board Meeting.

In our efforts to sustain economic vitality for the Chicagoland region and its businesses, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce has been committed to attracting, retaining and educating top talent in the Chicago area. The Chamber’s new Emerging Leaders Forum, announced today at our Board of Director’s Meeting, will support those talent attraction, retention and mentoring efforts going forward.

The Chamber invited 30 Emerging Leaders to this morning’s Board Meeting to provide its future generation of leadership the opportunity to experience a Board of Directors Meeting for one of the largest business organizations in the state and to learn about the processes and action items that stem from a meeting of that nature.

“This forum has been created because we recognize that our business community must bring together the next generation of executives so they have a means to gather, network and obtain mentoring from some of Chicago’s current business leaders,” said Theresa E. Mintle, President and CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber.

The Emerging Leaders Forum will be chaired by Ashley Boho, Digital Marketing and Advertising Manager for Mercedes-Benz of Chicago, and Tchapo Napoe, Manager, Corporate Finance at Peoples Gas.

A kick-off mixer for the new forum will be held on August 26 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
