Chicago, IL – The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce announced today that Margo Georgiadis, president, Americas for Google, will serve as the keynote speaker during its 112th Annual Meeting on June 7, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Mintle, president and CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. “As the leader of one of the world’s top tech companies, she is at the forefront of understanding what it takes for businesses to achieve and sustain success in today’s digital economy.”

Georgiadis leads Google’s commercial operations in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. Her prior roles at Google include leading global sales operations and expanding local and commerce businesses, such as Google Wallet and Google Places. She is also the former chief operating officer of Groupon.

Georgiadis is highly active in Chicago’s civic community as well, serving on the Board of Directors of the Ad Council, McDonald’s Corporation, NorthShore University HealthSystem, and the Economic Club of Chicago.  She is also a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago, the Committee of 200, and the Chicago Network.

In addition to the keynote, the 112th Annual Meeting will feature the presentation of the 5th Annual James Tyree Emerging Business Leadership Award, which is presented annually to a fast-growing entrepreneur with strong philanthropic values. Previous winners of the award include Neil Byers, owner of Horse Thief Hollow (2015); John Roa, founder and CEO of ÄKTA – A Salesforce Company (2014); Jim Alvarez, CEO of Gesture (2013); and Matt Matros, Founder of Protein Bar (2012).
