Chamber GR Team Secures Big Wins to Start 2023

Big news from Springfield: the Chamber team just saved Illinois employers more than $1 billion in taxes! Our Government Relations team closed out a historic Veto and Lame Duck session in the Illinois General Assembly, securing several big wins including a resolution of the $4.5 billion Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund deficit that will save all Illinois employers thousands each, a new business-friendly five days paid leave requirement, and economic development tools for EV developments, the Illinois film industry, and sustainable airlines practices.
