Together We Give: Join Us in Honoring Northern Trust’s Rick Waddell
Philanthropy. Social responsibility. Community service. These values, combined with hard work and innovation, have long served as the foundation for Chicago’s business community.
They also helped set the theme for this year’s Daniel H. Burnham Award Dinner, where we will be honoring an anchor of Chicago’s business and civic community: Frederick H. Waddell, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of The Northern Trust Company.
As the 24th recipient of the Daniel H. Burnham Award for Distinguished Leadership, Mr. Waddell embodies everything we look for in a Burnham Award honoree. He is dedicated to philanthropy and volunteerism in his community. He has made a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility as an integral part of the company culture at Northern Trust. And he is an active member of myriad civic and charitable organizations in Chicago, including the Board of Directors of AbbVie Inc. and the Board of Trustees of the Art Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Join us as we pay tribute to a business leader who continues to work tirelessly to make the region a better place to live and work.
Proceeds from the Burnham Dinner will help fund the Chamber Foundation’s new workforce development initiatives, which serve a diverse audience of citizens including community leaders, entrepreneurs, business executives, employees, educators and students in the Chicagoland area.
