From the President’s Desk: Empowering Our Small Business Community

Small businesses are the economic engine of our region and anchors of our communities. This is why we provide high-quality resources for entrepreneurs and small business owners and continue to cultivate the Chamber’s hub-and-spoke model for neighborhood business capacity building through outreach and support to local chambers of commerce, incubators and accelerators, and colleges and universities. The Chamber’s Small Business Development Center assists nearly 300 clients a year and hosts office hours in 14 locations across the City of Chicago, including Englewood Blue.

As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen the small business support system in Chicagoland, we are hosting two events – one in Englewood, and one downtown – during Crain’s Small Business Week May 2 -7.
