Rick Bayless, the chef, restaurateur, entrepreneur, author, television and podcast host, philanthropist and humanitarian, will address Chicago region business leaders as the keynote speaker at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce 113th Annual Meeting.

In addition to remarks from Chef Bayless, the breakfast event includes time for networking before and after the formal program, and the winner of the $50,000 2017 James Tyree Award for Emerging Business Leadership will be announced.

The theme of Bayless's speech is "Growth with Integrity." Bayless is a pioneer who played an outsized role in cultivating and growing Chicago's culinary scene and its global reputation for innovation, authenticity, unique experiences and mind-blowing flavors. He continues to extend his footprint inside and outside Chicago, from new restaurants to grocery store aisles. Bayless advanced the notion and practice of making carefully crafted artisan food accessible to a wide customer base, and he achieved scale without compromising quality.

About the opportunity to speak with business leaders, Bayless said: "I'm honored that the Chamber sees in me an attribute that I see as paramount: Integrity. For 30 years now, we’ve prioritized integrity within the food system, making sure our food aligns with our values at Frontera. It's a challenge, but one that’s also been our biggest advantage. Some of the best businesses and leaders in the world are here in Chicago. I'm proud to share my story with them.”

Chamber members and non-members are welcome to attend the Annual Meeting.
