Current Positions

Manager, Policy and Programs

Reporting to the Vice President, Government Relations, the Manager, Policy and Programs, in conjunction with the corresponding staff, will oversee the operation and work flow of the Chamber’s Public Policy Committee, Policy Councils and Forums (select industry verticals), and develop and implement related member engagement strategies.  He/she will ensure that the programs are given the proper support from the Government Relations, Membership, Communications and Events departments under the direct supervision of the Vice President, Government Relations. 

The opportunity to immediately engage members through our Public Policy Committee, Councils and Forums (hereinafter known as “programs”), and identify new engagement opportunities, will ensure a greater ROI to members, including visibility for the member company and its leadership, and an exciting opportunity to impact their industry in Chicagoland and beyond.

Manager, Programs

Reporting to the President and CEO, and serving as an integral member of the Programs and Events management teams, the Manager, Programs leads and manages the mission and development of the Chamber’s key educational programs. The Manager builds thought leadership programming and content for the Small Business Chicago, Emerging Leaders Chicago and Mid-Market Chicago programs of the Chamber.

Small Business Advisor, Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

Reporting to the Center Director - SBDC and serving as an integral member of the Small Business Chicago team, the Business Advisor is a public service position responsible for providing counselling and delivering services and programs to individuals, businesses, communities, organizations, and public agencies in the assigned geographic territory through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). This charge requires a broad base of business
knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. These duties require the integration of business theory and practice, thus necessitating professional development activities.

Information Technology (IT) Specialist


The Information Technology Specialist position is critical to the smooth functioning of the Chamber’s network and computer operations and is a key liaison to the external IT vendor to deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make our growth strategy a reality.

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance & Administration and serving as an integral member of the IT and Administrative teams, the Specialist is responsible for maintaining the inventory of computers, tablets, phones and related components;
and trouble shooting and/or working with the external IT, equipment and software providers to create solutions for staff. He/She will also work closely with the Sr. Director, Business Analytics on the Chamber’s CRM database to maintain data integrity and produce informative reports for senior management.
