Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a five-year initiative to unlock the economic growth and job-creation potential of 10,000 small businesses across the United States.

Small Business Development Center

The SBDC at the Chicagoland Chamber will focus on assisting start-ups and maturing firms to build confidence in their product or service. Services will include start-up business planning assistance, guidance on accessing business financing, help with market research and marketing plan development, assistance with developing new markets, and linkages to additional resources.

What does the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Chicagoland Chamber do?

The SBDC at the Chicagoland Chamber offers free consulting to small businesses to help them grow. We have the backing of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, but we are not a membership or fee-based group. By offering access to mentors, capital, business plan iteration, marketing plan iteration, or custom support (and much more), we help companies grow and eventually create jobs to boost the economy here in Chicagoland.

International Trade Center

The Chicagoland Chamber also hosts the newest designated Illinois SBDC International Trade Centers (ITC). Our goal is to help Illinois small businesses identify and pursue exporting opportunities to grow their business and increase their competitiveness in the global economy. A few of the services provided include assessing a company's readiness to export, identification of potential markets and foreign buyers, assistance with export finance options, and more.
