Chamber Board Member GoHealth Adding 250 Jobs in Chicago
GoHealth LLC, a member of the Chicagoland Chamber Board of Directors and the nation’s most complete online portal for finding health insurance coverage, is planning to add 250 new jobs this year. Mayor Emanuel made the announcement today, saying the growing health care technology company will be hiring a variety of positions, including executives, sales and support people, and software engineers.
“GoHealth is a thriving company that has made a strong commitment to Chicago and its talent," said Mayor Emanuel. "I am pleased that the company is growing and contributing to Chicago's leadership in the crucial sector of health IT."
From today’s Chicago Tribune:
The expected hiring spree comes on top of about 100 new hires in 2012 and reflects massive market changes in the health insurance industry before a government mandate takes effect in 2014 that requires most Americans carry health insurance or pay a penalty.
Michael Mahoney, GoHealth's vice president of marketing, said the company expects to continue the upward trajectory that started in earnest in the second half of 2012.
The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce works on behalf of its members to create a sustainable business climate for the Chicagoland region through creating and retaining private sector jobs.
