Celebration of Chicago's 2012 Sloan Awards for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness & Flexibility

Begin the celebration with a buffet breakfast & visit the tabletop exhibits of behavioral health and employee assistance services. Judy Hsu of ABC7 News will present awards followed by remarks from Dan Conti, Sr.V.P. Human Resources & EAP & Work-Life at JPMorgan Chase.

Master of Ceremonies & Presentation of Awards

Judy Hsu is the co-anchor of ABC7 News This Morning, the #1 rated morning news in Chicago. She co-anchors alongside Hosea Sanders. Hsu joined ABC7 in April 2001. In addition to her anchor responsibilities, she reports for ABC7's daily newscasts and hosts a parenting segment on the morning show called "For Your Family."

Hsu's reporting and anchoring has garnered several Emmy nominations. Her parenting segment, "For Your Family," was nominated for Outstanding Achievement for Information Programming. Hsu was also nominated for Individual Excellence on Camera for News Anchor in 2003. That same year, she received an Emmy for her contributions to the "Water Main Break Spot Coverage." While at KFMB-TV, Hsu was recognized with an Emmy for outstanding achievement for specialty reporting. Hsu is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and the National Academy of Arts and Sciences. She sits on the advisory board for the Chinese American Service League. In addition to her community involvement to raise funds and awareness for various causes, one of her passions is speaking to school children about the importance of pursuing their dreams.


Remarks on Employee Assistance, Work/Life, & Well-Being

Dan Conti is Senior Vice President and Director Employee Assistance & WorkLife Programs at JPMorgan Chase. He has created and implemented innovative programs that address the link between behavioral health status and corporate costs and has published significant research on this and other health economics topics.

He is recognized globally as a leader in employee assistance, work/life, well-being and personal development services along with innovative and forward thinking healthcare and related benefits solutions. He is a member of the Institute of Health, Productivity and Human Capital that focuses on the impact of health and productivity management on corporate performance. He serves on the National Committee on Workplace Emotional Wellness that published “An Employers Guide to Workplace Emotional Wellness.” His work with the National Committee on Child and Maternal Health recognizes that children are 25% of employers’ health care costs and reducing parental stress positively impacts child and family functioning. Conti was among the first to observe the growth of behavioral health problems in disability management and to design gradual return- to-work.
