What is the relationship between the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center?
The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce is a membership-driven organization comprised of established companies whose members pay annual membership dues to belong. Members may participate in a variety of business-building, growth, advocacy and educational programs and take advantage of a wide variety of services.
The Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center (CEC) is a nonprofit affiliate of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce that seeks to make a perceptible and lasting economic impact on the Chicago region by helping entrepreneurs and high-growth businesses build viable, sustainable, and profitable enterprises. The CEC works with entrepreneurs to create and sustain opportunities for business success, job growth, and profitability.
I belong to a local area Chamber. Am I automatically included as a member of the Chicagoland Chamber?
Your local chamber membership does not include membership in the Chicagoland Chamber. Many of the local chambers are, however, members of the Chamber and may, from time to time, make Chicagoland Chamber activities and programs available to their membership. We encourage all chamber members to participate in local organizations. You are welcome to attend Chicagoland Chamber events, paying as a guest.
How much does membership cost?
The total cost of your Chamber membership is based on your selected investment level. To determine which level is best for you, please contact Linda Susmilch, Membership Services Manager, at lsusmilch@chicagolandchamber.org or 312-494-6701.
How can my company offer discount products and services to other Chamber members?
There are several ways you can offer discounts to Chamber members:
- Member-to-Member Discounts - Anyone can participate in the member-to-member discount program, as a means to generate business among members through Connections, the Chamber's absolutely free, member-to-member discount and savings guide on our website. Participation is easy and free! Contact Linda Susmilch via email or at 312-494-6701. This is a Members Only benefit.
- Programs to Help Your Bottom Line - Through our special Chamber-sponsored Affinity Programs, Chamber members are provided the opportunity for significant savings on many of the services and products they need most such as health and business insurance, wireless phone service, office supplies and shipping.
I want to do a mailing to Chamber members. How can I get a list of contacts?
You can market your products or services, conduct research or put out a call for help and support - all by using our membership mailing labels. Exclusively available only to members, these peel-off mailing labels allow your company direct access to get your word out to other members. Each set of labels costs only $200.
Please note, as part of our privacy policy, we do not provide email addresses or electronic contacts.
How can I register for an event?
You may register for events and programs in two ways:
- Download an event registration form from the page of the specific event that you want to register for, fill it out and return by fax.
Or
- Register online
Note: Phone or email registrations cannot be accepted. Only online registrations will receive a confirmation.
Speaking of registration, am I assigned an account number when I join or sign up for an event?
No. You will need to create an account the first time you go online to register for an event or activity.
There is a problem with my online directory listing. How can I get that corrected?
Please contact Linda Susmilch via email or at (312) 494-6701 to correct the problem.
My business covers more than one category. How can I have more than one listing in the directory?
Every member receives one free business category listing in the directory. Additional listings are available for $25/listing. To increase the number of categories you are listed under, contact Linda Susmilch via email or at (312) 494-6701.
If you are looking for even more exposure, sign up for DirectoryPlus.
I have clients coming to Chicago for several days of meetings and sightseeing. Will the Chamber help with those arrangements?
That's a question we often get asked. It's important to remember that the Chamber is a business organization. The organization to contact to meet your needs is the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau.
