- 5-Star Accreditation
Every five years, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce invites local, regional and state chambers of commerce to become accredited to demonstrate their high standards of practice, full accountability to members and steadfast commitment to community. The Chicagoland Chamber received U.S. Chamber of Commerce Accreditation in 2002 and applied for Accreditation again in the fall of 2007.
The Chamber was notified in December by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC that its accreditation was renewed, and that it was awarded a 5-Star Accreditation – the highest possible – for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures and positive impact on the region’s business climate. The award is given to only the top five percent of all chambers in the country.
The Chamber’s leadership team expressed its appreciation to the staff of the Chicagoland Chamber for all of their hard work in making the programs and services, and the Accreditation application that documents these programs, of the highest quality and deserving of the 5-Star Award. The leadership team also thanks all the members of the Chamber for involvement and commitment.
