  7. The Chamber strives to understand the changing needs of its member businesses and to offer enhanced value for their investments in the Chamber. Value is enhanced by providing members with new or improved benefits that make it attractive to join and/or expand their involvement in the Chamber. This value proposition is illustrated in the following new programs.

    • Tiered levels of membership were launched to the fact that Chamber members comprise a wide variety of industries, markets and entrepreneurs. Tiered membership provides members with the opportunity to select the programming, events, and desired levels of engagement that best fit their needs.

For example, members in the Executive, Premier, President’s, Inner and Platinum Circles (members who make significant annual Chamber investments) attend either the invitation-only CEO Luncheon Series or the Chairman Luncheon Series. These luncheons provide the opportunity to meet and discuss issues with the Chamber’s leadership.
    • The Middle Market Forum is another new membership initiative that addresses the needs of members that have a minimum revenue stream of $10 million. These middle market members have common information and resource needs and, therefore, enjoy participating in various forums together throughout the year.
    • Chicago Real Estate Alliance (CREA) is an initiative that addresses the unique needs of the real estate community in Chicagoland. Through meetings and other contacts, members in this market segment benefit by receiving introductions to investors, developers, etc., and by forging common positions on issues relevant to their industry and present them to government.
    • The Chamber also endeavors to foster a strong spirit of collaboration among the business, civic and government communities, and uses collaborative efforts as a strategy for achieving its mission of making the Chicagoland the most business-friendly region in America.
